Programs Specific Outcome
BA with Political Science
- Develop knowledge about politics, political theories, concepts, the nature of the Indian state, the Indian Constitution, the structure and functions of legislature, executive and judiciary, the power structure in India, religion, and politics, social movements in India, and strategies of development.
- Develop a comparative understanding of politics, different political systems in the world, electoral system, notion of the welfare state, ideologies and approaches to the study of international relations, Cold War, and Indian foreign policy.
- Develop an understanding of the working process of rural and urban local government in India, the legislative process, reading the budget document, public opinion, and research methods in social sciences.
- Develop an understanding of ancient to modern political thinkers, political communication, liberalization, e-governance, and dynamics of civil society.
- Develop an understanding of democratic awareness through legal literacy, conflict, and peace management.
- After completing the program students are eligible for competitive exams at state and central levels.
